Happy is a word that gets thrown around a lot. It might seem frivolous or childish. But isn’t happiness our ultimate goal? If your life was going well and you felt fulfilled in most of your life, wouldn’t you be happy? That’s the feeling you should strive for. It can be that simple. You have the power to be happy at any moment in time. It is up to you to start living a happy life.
Many of us are waiting for all of our dreams to come true before we can be happy. But we also know that is a waste of time.
I just got back from a funeral for a friend. She was the epitome of someone who lived her life in her unique way. She liked to have fun and loved fiercely. Now, our job is to appreciate that we are still here and are blessed to continue living, loving, and making every effort to be happy.
Choose now to live your dreams. Decide today that you will no longer live with stress, pain, fear, guilt, or whatever other negative low energy feelings you are experiencing. Act as if you live your best life now and do the things you would do when you reached your goals.
One of the reasons I started writing Living Marvelously was because I wanted to start making the most of my life. Start today and in every moment to choose to love my life and to be happy.
Reflecting on the past and worrying about the future is a habit that we need to break. That happens when you only think about how you are feeling and make choices based on that. If you are feeling sad, lonely, angry, or unworthy at the current moment, stop and change your thoughts.
“Be happy in the moment. That’s enough. Each moment is all we need, not more.” Mother Theresa
Even if you are going through a difficult time, stop and reflect on the lessons you are receiving and then go out and live them.
In honor of this being my 100th post on Living Marvelously, I want to share 100 Marvelous actions for living a happy life.
Use them as inspiration to create a list of your own. Actions you can take to live a happier life right now and at any moment.
