It seems everyone thinks they need to lose weight. And there is a 200-billion-dollar industry out there that is constantly telling us that they have the solution, and we need to make a change. However, it fails 98% of dieters who try.  Let’s try something different. There is nothing to buy and nothing to give up. It all starts with your thoughts and feelings. It’s the law of attraction for weight loss.

At 54 years of age, I’m tired of the weight loss cycle. I’m tired of thinking about it. It’s time to try something new. The law of attraction is obviously not new, but using it with weight loss might be new to you.

The law of attraction says that you create reality through thoughts and feelings. What you think about becomes your reality. The vibration you send out into the Universe comes back to you at the same frequency. Just like a radio station. What dial you put the radio on sends back the sounds on that frequency.

When you translate that to weight loss, it starts with thinking and feeling and believing that you are just the way you want to be. No more calling yourself fat or feeling bad about what you look like. It starts with loving yourself and having a positive attitude toward your current body.

Accept Your Beauty

Learn how to look in the mirror and see yourself as beautiful. You have a unique beauty that no one else has. Don’t wish you looked like someone else. Tell yourself all the beautiful things you see. Color in your eyes, a beauty mark on your temple, muscles in your arms, beautiful skin, a gorgeous smile, skinny ankles, glowing hair, etc.

Hang Out with People Who Love Themselves

Surround yourself with people who love their authentic self. Don’t try to please others by changing who you are. If you must do that, be with other people. Don’t allow others to put themselves down, either.

Stop Judging Others

Be aware of your gossip and judgment of others. Focus on loving yourself first. When you talk or think negatively about others, it creates the same reality as talking about yourself.

Love Your Life

Find what you love to do and enjoy your life so much that your weight is not top of mind. The less you think about losing weight, the easier it is. When it is always on your mind that you have to lose weight, you send a message to the Universe that you have to lose weight and will continue to have weight to lose?. Did you get that?

Our conscious mind can only hold one thought at a time – positive or negative – so catch yourself when you think negatively about your body and change your thoughts.

How to Manifest Weight Loss with the Law of Attraction

Know Why You Want to Lose Weight

Is your why positive or negative? Wanting to lose weight so that you fit in with others or because you think you are fat are negative energy vibes. They will draw back more negative energy from the Universe.

On the other hand, if you want to lose weight to be healthy, feel good, or enjoy life, those feelings are more positive and will create a reality with more of those feelings.

To manifest anything in life, you must be clear about what you want. So, start brainstorming all the positive things that will happen if you lose weight. Then set those as your goals.

Change Your Relationship with Food

Be aware of how you use food. Is it to survive and increase energy, or is it to cover up bad feelings?

Be aware of what foods you deem bad or good. Be flexible and allow yourself to enjoy a variety of foods so that you don’t feel guilty or shame when you indulge, which is a low energy feeling.

Our bodies are amazing because they can tell us exactly what it needs to function properly. So, pay attention to which foods cause stress in your body and try to avoid those.

Learn to enjoy food for what it is. When you love yourself and want only what is best for you, you will start to make decisions that support that.

Change Your Relationship with Exercise

Exercise comes in many forms. Find your favorite way to move your body, and let that be enough. Once you start feeling its effects, you may want to do more but don’t let it be a burden. That is when exercise becomes negative, and again according to the law of attraction, exercise will not bring positive results.

Consciously Change Your Thoughts About Weight Loss

As I said earlier, I am sick of thinking about it. My goal is to feel good about myself and feel good in my clothes. So, if I can create a way to feel that today, I will create a life that feels good and that has nothing to do with losing weight.

Easier said than done, right? It’s a whole culture that needs to be changed. But I found a few strategies that might help you.

Law of Attraction Strategies for Weight Loss

Affirmations for weight loss – As a reminder, affirmations are a way to declare what you want your life to look like to the Universe. The more you repeat them, the faster you literally change your mind.

  • I am eating foods that contribute to my well-being.
  • I eat only when I feel hungry.
  • Every day I move closer to my ideal weight.
  • I see myself at my ideal weight.
  • I adore the taste of healthy food.
  • Healing is happening in both my body and mind.
  • I control how much I eat.
  • I love and accept myself now.

Visualization – Take 5 minutes every morning to visualize your best life. See yourself doing the things you want to do after you lose weight. Picture yourself in the clothes you want to fit into. Your mind will record these images as if they were real and will try to match this new inner reality with your outer reality.

Meditation – Sitting quietly for a few minutes every morning and only focusing on your breath can reduce stress and any lingering feelings of unworthiness. Two feelings that tend to make us eat more. Starting your day in a relaxed, calm, and connected way will help you make better decisions later.

Be Grateful – Thank your body and appreciate everything your body does for you. Think about how your body runs every day to keep you alive. Love your body by giving it the nutrition and energy it needs to continue to run smoothly. Write down three things you are grateful for in your journal that your body does for you daily.

 

Using the Law of Attraction for weight loss is all about changing your thoughts and emotions around it. And when you do that, you will naturally want to do what feels good for your body. You will want to take action that supports your goals.

 

You will have to do the work, but it will come naturally.

The way you know that it works is through your own experience. Do you feel better? Do you love your life? Are you spending less time worrying about what you look like?

Give it a try! I find it better than starving myself or wasting any more time thinking about weight loss. It’s time to love myself for who I am and treat my body with respect and grace.
