I don’t know about you, but now that we are “staying home”, I’m having a harder time falling asleep and staying asleep. It might have something to do with having a similar routine every day or not being able to be busy besides with the things we have to do at home. So, I decided to change my evening routine and include a few bedtime affirmations.
Instead of staying up and watching TV or looking at social media at night, I’ve set a time to go upstairs and get ready for bed. I prepare the coffee for the morning, wash up, write down what I was grateful for that day, read for a little bit, and set my alarm for the morning. My newest addition to the routine is telling myself a couple of bedtime affirmations.

All of these things help create a mindset of relaxation and peace. A study by researchers at the University of Manchester discovered that gratitude before sleep predicted greater sleep quality and duration. Also, affirmations have been proven to help you let go of any stress and anxiety that you might have experienced throughout your day and clear out all the negative thoughts from your mind.
One of the biggest reasons most people can’t fall asleep at night is because they are worried about something or they have a thought about something they need to do the next day that won’t leave their minds.
Does that sound familiar to you?
Try using these bedtime affirmations to help you relax and find some peace that lulls you to sleep.
