I like to provide you with journal prompts to get you in the habit of writing in your journal and putting your thoughts on paper. Answering questions can help you better understand yourself and put you in alignment with where you want to be. This post will provide journal prompts to find focus in your life.
It would help if you focused on many areas of your life to make your life marvelous and meaningful, but you can’t focus on all of them at the same time. Sometimes you need to put a couple of areas on the back burner and get other areas front and center.
There are 7 areas of your life that you can control
- Health – Food, exercise, sleep, and wellbeing.
- Fulfillment – Your work, whether from home or at a business. Whatever fills your days and gives you a purpose.
- Relationships – With your spouse, children, friends, and extended family. This includes the expectations, pressure, patience, and love they give you.
- Money – Saving, earning, and having what you need.
- Spiritual – Having a sense of connection to something bigger than yourself. Being in touch with your soul.
- HomeLife – Everything in your home. The décor, clutter, organization, and comfort.
- Loving Yourself – Loving yourself for who you are and enough to make yourself a priority, how you enjoy life.
We don’t always pay attention to which area is out of alignment and how it is affecting the rest of our life.
When you can feel good about one area, it usually helps you feel good in another.
For example:
- If you focus on your health, it will probably help you love yourself and strengthen your relationships with others.
- Focusing on what you do for fulfillment will most likely enhance your money and possibly your home life.
- If you focus on loving yourself, you can get in touch spiritually, and your relationships with others will be better.
So, if you are feeling just a little bit off in your life, chances are you need to find some focus.
One way to do that is to process how everything is going in your life. Do a brain dump or journal exercise to clear your mind and notice where you need to focus.
Journal Prompts To Find Focus
- What would make my life happier right now?
- What is standing in my way?
- Am I holding on to limiting beliefs?
- Where am I spending most of my time right now?
- Where do I want to spend my time?
- What can I let go of right now?
- Where do I feel stuck? Is there an agreement I need to let go of?
- Of the 7 areas of my life, what needs the most attention?
- How will that help other areas of my life?
- What can I start doing today?
Once you have pinpointed the area you want to focus on, it’s time to do something.
Be sure to budget time in your day to work on the part of your life you want to improve.
If you aren’t sure what to do, google it or ask a friend or coach. You can even ask me in the comments. I’d be happy to help you find resources or give you a few ideas of my own.
Take the time to make sure you are living marvelously and making the most of this life!
