Why Open Your Heart?
There are so many beautiful benefits to having an open heart—lower blood pressure, better sleep, a more peaceful mind, even elevated moods and a greater sense of calm. But the one I love to talk about most? More happiness.
In my post, What Does Being Happy Really Mean?, I share this truth:
When you’re happy, it’s because your life feels in harmony. Things feel aligned, easeful, and good. Your mind is focused on what’s going right. You’re not overanalyzing or comparing—you’re simply being, and it feels marvelous.
Now think about the last time you said, “I’m so happy right now.” Chances are, you weren’t thinking about what was missing—you were feeling grateful for what already was. But if you’ve ever said, “I’m content,” it likely had a different tone. Contentment can carry an undertone of settling, like you’re okay… but just okay.
Life is too short to settle for “just okay.”
Why not choose happiness instead?
And one beautiful way to invite more happiness in is to open your heart.
