I think many people have realized that during the stay-at-home orders around the country, slowing down has not been a bad thing. Giving yourself less to do opens up space to think about what truly makes you happy. The little things you have been doing to keep busy may be the small steps toward happiness you needed to tune into the life you dream of.

Now, as things start to open up, don’t let go of that space! What came up for you? What have you been doing that you don’t want to quit? Are there any obligations you don’t necessarily want to get back to? I’ve put together a list of small steps you can take to live happily now. When you dream of a beautiful, happy life, it does not always translate to material things. To create a happy life, sometimes, you need to tweak your thoughts and beliefs.

So, this list is a combination of physical actions and mental actions. When you take small steps to change the way you think and move in the general direction of your dreams, you will elicit the Universe’s help and begin the journey and adventure to live your dream life.

Small steps toward happiness can trigger big things to happen in your life. When the world returns to “normal,” don’t rush back to the life you were living before. Take the time to assess what made you happy while at home. Choose what you want to continue doing and what you might not get back to. What small steps and actions have you been taking?
