I love affirmations. Claiming a thought as if it were already true is one of the fastest ways to make it so. But sometimes affirmations can feel a little funny if you don’t necessarily believe them to be true. Statements like, I am thin, I am abundant or I have the love I seek. So, a similar way to achieve this is to play the manifesting game “Wouldn’t it be nice if…?” by Abraham Hicks.

In the book Ask and it is Given, by Esther and Jerry Hicks, Abraham says, “The key to bringing something into your experience that you desire is to achieve vibrational harmony with what you desire. And the easiest way for you to achieve vibrational harmony with it is to imagine having it, pretend that it is already in your experience, flow your thoughts toward the enjoyment of the experience, and as you practice those thoughts and begin to consistently offer that vibration, you will then be in the place of allowing that into your experience.”

The reason this manifesting game is so important and so powerful is that when you say, “Wouldn’t it be nice if…?” you are choosing something that you want, and you’re being soft and easy about it. It feels less “made up.”

When you say “I want this thing to happen”, you are saying you don’t have it, so it continues to be so.

There are two important elements to this Abraham Hicks money game.

  1. Attach good feelings to your thoughts. Say them like you know they are true, and you are excited and thankful for them happening.

When you are excited about something it discourages all forms of negative thoughts. You forget about your worries and fears and you hold the feeling of belief that it is true!

  1. Say these things and then let go. Don’t wonder how it’s going to happen or monitor whether anything has changed. You have to trust and believe that you have put your desire out there and your order has been given.

I’ve heard the analogy a few times of thinking of this like ordering at a restaurant. Once you tell the server what you want to eat, you continue to talk to your friends, enjoy your drink and just trust that what you ordered will arrive. You don’t go to the kitchen and check on it and you don’t go tell the chef how to cook it. You understand that it will come when it is ready.
