Whenever you set new goals, don’t forget to update your affirmations for success too.
Affirmations are statements that confirm something to be true. When you focus on a particular thought or positive statement over and over, you create new neural pathways in your brain to literally change your mind.
But once you have used your affirmation successfully, it’s time to create new ones to reflect your new goals, dreams, or desires.
So, at the beginning of the year, you may have made some new year resolutions. Or, at the mid-year point, you reassess your goals. Throughout the year, different areas of your life will become a priority. Whatever triggers the change in your goals, change your affirmations as well to reflect your new focus.
“Your affirmations are creating your future, from the inside out. Your internal reality is pregnant with your future external reality.” Completed Thoughts.com
Effective affirmations for success must have the following:
- You must believe your affirmation is possible.
- Your affirmation must be within the power of your control.
- You want to write them in the present tense as if they are already true.
- Make them personal.
- Be sure they are positive.
- Make sure you feel the passion when you read or say the affirmation. That feeling is what allows the brain to create new wires.
