Sometimes spiritual healing doesn’t look like a grand transformation. And spiritual healing practices don’t have to be mystical. It looks like whispering “I’m sorry. Please forgive me.” to yourself in the mirror. It looks like picking up a journal and asking, “What do I need today?” It looks like giving your soul a moment to breathe.

If you’re in a season where you know something needs to shift — but you’re not quite sure how — this post is for you. These five practices are the ones I return to again and again. They don’t require perfection, performance, or hours of free time—just a little willingness to show up for yourself.

Let’s walk through them together.

✧ 1. The Ho’oponopono Prayer: Healing Through Forgiveness

This ancient Hawaiian prayer is simple, beautiful, and deeply healing.

I’m sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you.

It’s not about blaming yourself. It’s about taking spiritual responsibility for your own energy. Whether you’re healing old wounds, navigating conflict, or letting go of regret — this practice offers a reset for the soul.

Try it: Close your eyes. Think of a situation that’s been weighing on you. Say the prayer slowly, with feeling. Notice how your body responds.

✧ 2. Journaling with Intention: Clarity on Paper

Journaling isn’t just for teenage diaries or venting. It’s a sacred space to process, reflect, and tune into what your soul is really asking for.

Some days I simply write, “What do I need to hear today?” and let the words flow. It’s amazing how much wisdom we hold — when we give it space to speak.

Try it:

  • What am I ready to release right now?

  • What would I say to a friend going through what I’m feeling?

✧ 3. Grounding Through Breath: Come Back to Now

When everything feels chaotic, your breath is your anchor. One of the quickest ways to calm your nervous system and shift your energy is through intentional breathing. It brings you back to the present moment, and then you can decide where your thoughts go next.

Box breathing is one of my favorites:

Inhale for 4… hold for 4… exhale for 4… hold for 4. Repeat.

It brings you right back into your body, present, grounded, and safe.

🌬️ Try it anytime you feel anxious, overwhelmed, or untethered.

✧ 4. Visualization: Connecting with Future You

This one’s magic. When you spend a few moments imagining your best self — not from fantasy, but from possibility-you begin to align your energy with growth.

Close your eyes. Picture yourself one year from now. She’s calm. Confident. Light. What does her day look like? What choices got her there?

Try it:
Spend 3 minutes today visualizing your healed and empowered self. Breathe into it. Feel it. Trust it.

✨ This is how healing becomes forward momentum. Try creative visualization too!

✧ 5. Speaking Kindly to Yourself: Rewrite the Inner Script

Your self-talk becomes your reality. So many of us (especially in midlife) have been conditioned to be self-critical, to downplay our dreams, or to push through without grace.

Let’s rewrite that. Pay attention to those moments when you’re feeling off. What are you telling yourself?

Try these affirmations:

  • I give myself permission to grow at my own pace.

  • I honor the woman I’m becoming.

  • I forgive myself for what I didn’t know before.

  • I am worthy of healing and happiness.

✧ One Small Step Can Open Big Doors

You don’t have to do all five of these spiritual healing practices. Just choose the one that calls to you today.

Whether it’s whispering “I love you” through tears… or scribbling down your truth in a quiet journal moment… every time you show up for yourself, you heal.

And every time you heal, you grow.
