It is hot outside today! And it has been for a while now. I love the sunshine, but the heat drives me inside, and summer is too short for that! Summer is the time when we are supposed to play and enjoy the long days. But with all that play, we sometimes forget to maintain our healthy habits. So here is a reminder of some wellness tips for summer to make sure we don’t lose our healthy momentum.

And before you say I have heard all of this before, see how many you actually do. It’s always good to get reminders for the things we tend to put off.

Drink Water

An obvious tip, but one that often gets overlooked. Try to create a habit of drinking a glass of water every morning when you wake up, then keep a water bottle with you all day long. On weekends, pay attention to how much alcohol you consume and be mindful of adding water in between drinks.

With the longer days, it is easy to stay up later and wake up earlier. But it is important to your health to maintain a regular sleep schedule. So, to maintain good health, don’t screw up your sleep!

Exercise

This is always important. So, take advantage of the summer weather and get outside.
