This dream big poem immediately spoke to me. Living Marvelously was born from the idea that I wanted to dream big and take action to make those dreams come true. I didn’t want to live a life doing what others expected me to. Things like staying home and taking care of the house, working any job that keeps you busy and brings home a paycheck, or being available for everyone else, even if that keeps you from doing things you want to do.
We are all different and have different dreams and goals. There is no “normal” life; we each have our own. And no one else can tell you what that is. But it is very easy to judge if they don’t like or get jealous of what they see. That can be scary.
Your life is whatever you want it to be. Doing whatever makes you feel amazing, beautiful, excited, fulfilled, abundant, or completely loved. To share that with others and to encourage them to live the life they dream about.
These dreams are not the dreams that happen while you are sleeping; I’m talking about the dreams that don’t go away. That lingers in your mind while you are awake.
I tend to be very good at dreaming and visualizing all kinds of ideas that would be awesome in my life. But then I got stuck in the doing. This Dream Big poem encourages us to take the next step, create action, and be the person we are meant to be.
As you look to the future and think up new goals or ways of making a difference, dream big, persist, trust, and do it right. You got this!

Dream Big Poem
If there were ever a time to dare,
To make a difference
To embark on something worth doing
It is now.
Not for any grand cause, necessarily –
But for something that tugs at your heart
Something that is worth your aspiration
Something that is your dream.
You owe it to yourself
To make your days count.
Have fun. Dig deep. Stretch.
Dream big.
Know, though,
That things worth doing
Seldom come easy,
There will be times when you want to
Turn around
Pack it up and call it quits
Those times tell you
That you are pushing yourself
And that you are not afraid to learn by trying.
Persist.
Because with an idea,
Determination and the right tools,
You can do great things.
Let your instincts, your intellect
And let your heart guide you.
Trust.
Believe in the incredible power
Of the human mind
Doing something that makes a difference
Of working hard
Laughing and hoping
Of lasting friends
Of all the things that will cross your path
Next year
The start of something new
Brings the hope of something great.
Anything is possible
There is only one you
And you will pass this way but once.
