As I am writing this, Minneapolis and St. Paul are burning and reeling from the riots brought on by the death of George Floyd. As a 54-year-old white female living in a small town south of the Twin Cities, I struggle to know what I can do. I am so sad that this is happening. That one man’s control, power, and fear can create such a domino effect of destruction and outcry. When I read articles about what I can do, using my platform to speak out often comes up. So, even though my platform is small, I have found 12 quotes to encourage choosing love over fear. It’s one of the main topics on my blog and something I feel passionate about.

I wish I could spread the message to everyone and everyone would know that there is only love. We are all one, we are all loved and there is room on this planet for everyone.

I do not know what I should about racism or white supremacy, and I will try to better understand. But I do know that all human life matters and we need to choose love over fear.

Instead of doing nothing, I will make a small statement by choosing love. Loving everyone I come in contact with. Taking time to understand when I feel fear.

I know this isn’t what is going to change the world, but sharing quotes, inspiration, and motivation for you is how I can help for now.
