Can’t we all just get along?
After watching the Democratic debate, the other night, I was pulled to find some work-together quotes, affirmations, and journal prompts that encourage us to get along, understand and love each other. I believe we are so much better when we work together. Yes, maybe that is a Pollyanna attitude, but it feels good to me.
Healthy discussions, debates, and conversations about our different cultures, ideas, and values are necessary. But the childish name-calling and insults rampant in our political scene are not.

My mom, Marvel, hated when people fought. I get that from her. I’m not a fan of politics, but I understand the need to voice our opinions and fight for the causes we believe in.
I wish our political system could remember that our differences make our democracy, and when we work together, we make our country a better place to live for all of its people.
